There are 12 pharmacology facts that have an effect on the dental implant treatments clinicians provide patients.  Some facts are within the clinician’s control, while others must be adjusted to provide optimum results for the patient. This 2-hour presentation will provide take-home tips on when and how to use selected techniques, including pharmacological agents, BC-PRP, and BC-PRF to overcome patient-based issues that often compromise implant therapy success.  Knowing and utilizing these 12 facts will improve the predictability of implant therapy!

Learning objectives: Top 12 Pharmacological facts that Affect Implant Dentistry that will provide better understanding about how systemic pathologies and administered medications can affect oral health and the success of implant therapies, have insight and know how to pharmacologically alter implant therapy to assure successful treatments and have the big picture in understanding  the why, when, and how to use selected Buffy Coat Platelet Rich Plasma (BC-PRP), and Buffy Coat Platelet Rich Fibrin (BC-PRF) to improve implant therapy predictability.

The Midwest Implant Institute Fellows encourages and requests your attendance . We are excited for you to experience an event that has been in effect for 31 years and continues to evolve based upon the current updates in implant dentistry . As MII Symposium attendees you will see the presentation for completion of certification in the MII Surgical Externship graduation. The graduating MII Externs and their staff is recognized at the Friday evening Award Dinner and awarded with a finely crafted framed certificate. Additionally the prestigious  MII Fellowship award is presented to the graduated extern that has demonstrated additional implant surgery and restorative procedures at an advanced level and completion of the Fellowship curriculum. These newly identified Fellow(s) present advanced cases in implant dentistry that require the newest innovations in PRP and PRF development, guided surgical techniques and soft tissue management.  Past Fellowship awarded doctors are easily identified by the large gold medallion draped across their necks.  At the Friday evening Awards dinner, the Class of 2017 Fellowship doctors will be recognized, awarded with a large finely crafted Fellows Award plaque and their own gold medallion with their name and year they were inducted to the Fellows Association at the Midwest Implant Institute.

To complete the presentation of awards we finish on the greatest award available through MII. That award is The Midwest Implant Institute Honored Fellow Award. It is a culmination of lifetime achievements in implant dentistry and is an award that recognizes the impact the individual has made within implant dentistry at all levels.  The 2016 award recipient was  James L. Rutkowski, DMD, PhD.  Dr. Rutkowski will announce and present the 2017 MII Honored Fellow Award to the recipient, Dr. Craig Cooper. There is no better way to complete the awards, but to announce the The Midwest Implant Institute Honored Fellow Award of 2018.  This is truly an event that you will not want to miss.

The close of the Symposium on Saturday will include a live surgery and restoration completed by Dr. Robert Heller and Dr. Thomas Bilski using the CeraRoot ceramic implant system. Your afternoon can then be filled with enjoying the many amenities that the Short North has to offer. The entire Midwest Implant Institute staff and Fellows graciously thank you and your staff and will be there to help you Early Bird register for the 2018 Symposium.  Call today for more information!
