About the Speakers :Chanda Kale, DDS is a graduate of Nair Dental College in Bombay, India and NYUCD and completed the NYUCD Implant and Prosthetic Program. Dr. Kale is a faculty member at NYUCD, maintains a private practice in Brooklyn, N.Y. in general dentistry and orthodontics, and is the founder and coordinator of The Brooklyn Implant Study Club.
Xavi Oliva, DDS is co-founder of the CeraRoot zirconia implant system. He has an all ceramic implant training center in Santa Monica, CA and has been lecturing worldwide since 2006. Dr. Oliva maintains a private practice in Barcelona, Spain and the Clinica Oliva team has placed zirconia implants in over 3000 patients.
The course describes how zirconia ceramics provide unprecedented soft tissue health and beauty-without compromising strength. What are the advantages of using a 100% ceramic material as opposed to conventional titanium metal implants? The clinical cases shown throughout the presentation demonstrate how this material is able to respect the surrounding tissues like never seen before in implant dentistry.
